I spent the weekend at home. My mom's.
Saturday: Drove back with Matt in the morning. But not after a bike ride to Jack in the Box (on Pico) to get some breakfast for us!
Drove my mom to Burbank (farmers market and IKEA), then to Arcadia (hung around the Santa Anita mall for a while and got some lunch/smoothie), then to the dentist's.
Played old computer games in the afternoon that I hadn't played in a long time (Civ III anyone?).
Dinner @ Raffi's Place in Glendale. Such a good place to have dinner - outdoor seating and huge, decliciously authentic plates of Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food!
Got a ton of Couchsurfing requests - all for the night of June 1!
Sunday: Stayed at home. Yum. Caught up on a lot of shows that I had DVR-ed.
Modern Family,
Parenthood,
The Mentalist,
HIMYM,
Big Bang Theory, the one episode of
Glee that they filmed at the Eagle Rock Plaza!
Monday: Memorial Day. I jogged (along Ellenwood) to Colorado Blvd., then into Glendale and back along Verdugo. Got driven back to my apt in the early afternoon - we stopped at a pretty sketchy Mexican 24-hour place on La Brea and Pico that attracts the most unsavory types but had the most savory chicken (and a green chile burrito that was more like a really hot soup in a tortilla!). Spent the afternoon cleaning up my room and my apartment, with some help from my family. My room is now
clean and organized! What a miracle.
Dinner - every Japanese restaurant along the street was closed. So we ate at Restaurante Juquila and got some mole.
