Ideas:
- Everyone should live within 1/2 mile of a park.
- Have cell phone plans be logical (more pay-as-you-go)
- More holidays! At least one per month.
- Sales tax should be included in the advertised price - and no more pennies!
- Less criminalization of recreational drugs
LA traffic fix:
- extend the dead-end freeways (the 2 and 710)
- add lanes at bottlenecks (East LA)
- create a network of dedicated bicycle lanes/roads
- subway along Wilshire
- subway along Ventura Blvd.
- build a network of streetcars:
- downtown LA streetcar
- Venice/Santa Monica streetcar
- Hollywood streetcar - maybe going down Fairfax
- Pico Blvd streetcar
- widen the 5 freeway to Orange County!
- extend the "gold line" to Ontario Airport, and to Whittier
- build free parking for Metro riders (like 12 hours free parking with a valid Metro ticket or day pass)
